BELGRAVIA
Situated in a small mews, this family home was originally a garage for three cars with a tiny apartment above.
By creating a basement with a large lightwell through the entire building, Lyndall was able to get much needed light into all the rooms. The lightwell provides floor-to- ceiling windows on three sides and the neighbouring side has been mirrored to reflect much needed, additional light into the property. This has converted what was a dark, cramped space into a light filled three-bedroom home.
The clients requested a timeless, elegant, and airy home which is achieved with a liberal use of mirrors and a soft, neutral colour palette. The B&B Italia dining table and chairs provide a beautiful focal point in the open plan kitchen and dining area, and the outdoor patio in the basement feels fresh and vibrant with its generous planting and informal seating area.
